Great Buy

I've been a mark. rep for a long time, probably a year now, and I just bought this awesome party selling kit (for reps only!!) that was originally $95 for only $50!!! It's a selling tool, so I don't get any extra discount off on the price but it's an amazing deal. It was a good deal at $95, but now??? AMAZING.

Oh yes, it's got about 20 full-sized products, plus the bags and a lot of samples. I can't wait for it to get here so I can play around with all my new stuff!! haha.. There's a lot of products in this package that I was going to order for myself anyway (case w/ eyeshadows and blushes, glowdacious bronzer, gloss gorgeous lip stain, totally balmed, hook up lip glosses, mascara & liquid eye liner,,) except by ordering the kit I get to be a super smart shopper and SAVE MONEY.

Music Love

Grooveshark is one of my favorite music sites, and I just signed up for a year subscription to Grooveshark Anywhere (normally $3/month or $30/year) and that allows me to listen all the Grooveshark music I want, advertisement free, and it lets me scrobble that music to Last.fm (which is the main reason I upgraded to the subscription!) and if I owned an Android phone I could also listen to Grooveshark on my phone. I love using Grooveshark because there are an unlimited number of songs and artists that I can choose from, any song I have looked for, I have found it on this website! And it's completely free (and legal!) to listen to all the songs!

Last.fm is also one of my favorite sites, it keeps track of what music you listen to (on computer, ipod, etc) and charts it for you.. top tracks.. top artists.. check out my last.fm profile. Now my last.fm scrobbles won't be limited to just the songs I own and have on the computer! YAY!

Inspiration: Colorful Furniture

Just being an insomniac that has to be awake in 5 hours... browsing around pinterest and finding amazing things =) Love being inspired.

I would love some colorful furniture to get into my life.. just looking at it makes me feel happy. =) I requested an invite to join Pinterest, but so far all I'll gotten from them is an email saying that I was added to the waiting list.. how unfair =P

Weigh In #3

I blew it this week, you guys. I am disappointed in myself, I didn't do any exercising this past week.. I kept meaning to and I kept procrastinating and it just never happened. Apparently I haven't been doing all that great on watching what I've been eating either.. because I gained weight since last week! arrrrrrrgggggggggggh.

LAST WEEK: 188
THIS WEEK: 190

Gained 2 whole pounds since last week... and I had McDonalds for lunch today! ahhhhhh... calorie and sodium content overload... i ate 1.5 cheeseburgers without onion and like 12 fries. TOO MUCH SALT. Must stay far, far, far away from that place.

P.S. Anyone watch Glee tonight?? Drunk Glee kids are so not cool... what are they thinking?!?!?!

Poem to Memorize

One of my goals I had added to my bucket list was to memorize a poem.. this is the poem I chose..

Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein
There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.

Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.

Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.
I read it over every now and again, sometimes I'll be doing something and it'll pop into my head and I'll repeat how ever much of the poem I can remember at the time in my head,  but I don't have it fully memorized yet. I like this poem because I think the place where the sidewalk ends is full of imagination and creativity. It's a place that is different for everyone, you choose how you want it to be.

If you were going to memorize a poem which one would you choose??

Clif Bar = Yummy

I bought a couple of Clif Bar energy bars at Walmart (only $1 each!), I got the Chocolate Chip and Crunchy Peanut Butter flavors and I would recommend them both to you! Both flavors were delicious and I want to try some more!! If you've ever tried a Fiber One protein bar... these taste about a million times better. Seriously. Clif Bars come in a ton of different flavors (way more than shown in the photo below!) and can be found in pretty common stores.. like Walmart and Target (they should be near the "diet/workout food" section.. hah.. where you find Special K, Slim Fast, Weight Watchers, protein shakes, vitamins, etc)
They are kinda like eating an organic granola bar, and intentionally created to taste delicious. Protein, dietary fiber, potassium, iron, calcium, a ton of vitamins... all things your body gets because you ate a Clif Bar. Yum.

Weigh In #2

Yay, week number two! I've been doing awesome past week (from last monday night to today at noon) and I only worked out 4 times. I took the past 3 days off for my muscles to recover (omg, pain) and I still lost more weight than I did last week!! Yeah!! I even ate donuts, milkshake, ice cream, fries, burger, movie theater popcorn... I ate a lot of unhealthy stuff this week <3  Lately I've been dancing on the scale after I see my current weight!!

LAST WEEK: 192.5
THIS WEEK:  188

Lost 4.5 pounds in one week?!??!!??

You can see how that's worth dancing about, right?? So happy with my progress!! Right now I've lost 6 pounds in two weeks, that's 2 pounds ahead of schedule!!

My Legs Hurt

Soo I've been "doing" the 30 Day Shred workout dvd for ummm 4 days now, I have yet to complete 100% of a workout.. but I'm closer now than I was on day one. What I have realized is that there is a LOT of leg exercising in these workouts....... a lot of squats and lunges. A Lot. So my quads hurt, my calves hurt... but I haven't missed a day yet! My arms would probably be hurting too if I had been using hand weights ( haven't bought a set of those yet).. so yeah. I've been trying to take baths to help loosen up my muscles a bit, and I have been sleeping way more than I should. Perhaps I should buy myself some vitamins.

I also went without the internet for a couple of days this week, and I tried working on my crocheting skills. I still suck at that. I decided I wanted to make an afghan.. it's 63 different patterned squares ( part of that crochet box I bought from ebay, a little book for this project)... I started on the first one, the easiest one.. it's all "single crochet", and I started and unraveled that square about 4 times before I gave up on it for the time being, lol. So I spent many hours working on crochet and I have absolutely nothing to show for it.  Kinda disappointing, but I want to create "perfect" squares.. so if I see where I messed up, I try to fix it.  Once I am a pro at crochet, I'll be able to whip those squares up in no time! Ha! I've got a long, long way to go still. If I ever finish this afghan, it's going to be beautiful!! I chose a medium blue, a sage green, and a cream color for the yarn =)

Weigh In #1

Alright, my first ever weekly weigh in blog post, let's get the weight loss motivation off to awesome start! =) This week was from Monday to Monday, and for some strange reason I did my previous week weigh in (the beginning) at 9:30 pm, and this weeks when I got home from work at 10pm. In case you have never weighed yourself multiple times a day, your weight fluctuates! a lot!! You weigh the least when you wake up in the morning, and as the day progresses and you eat... you gain weight.  So, I guess I'm going to somehow manage to switch my weigh in times for future weeks..

LAST WEEK: 194
THIS WEEK: 192.5

I LOST 1.5 POUNDS!!!!

If you've been reading along you know that I haven't done any exercising at all this week and I have instead just been watching what I eat and trying not to eat when I'm bored, etc. Tomorrow is when the real fun begins!

Updates

I did finally get my 30 Day Shred dvd, but I have decided that I'm going to wait until Tuesday to start it.. I weighed & measured myself last week on Monday, so I figure that by waiting to start the dvd I will be able to tell how much weight I have lost in the past week without doing any exercise. Exciting, right?? I am so not looking forward to the amount of pain I will have to go through with the workout dvd.. >_< And I have lost weight since Monday, so I will most definitely update you guys on that!!

Right now I am doing what most people are probably doing right now... Watching the Superbowl! I am definitely one of those people that don't watch football at all during the normal season, but will most likely watch the Superbowl. We're not doing anything special for it, no parties or extra people over.. just quiet. I am hopeful that the underdogs will win this one, the Steelers have won more than their own fair share of Superbowls in the last few years... GO GREENBAY!!!

I am also looking forward to finally getting some new GLEE, it's on right after the game! WOOT WOOT.

Weight Goals...

I have decided to set myself some weight loss goals, once I receive my 30 Day Shred workout dvd in the mail (later this week) before I work out for the first time using it, I am going to take couple "before" photos, weight myself, take a few body measurements, this will be the starting point. I will set my goal for weight loss as losing 2 pounds per week, at that rate I will lose at least 8 pounds a month. I want to lose about 30 pounds, so if I reach my goal every month, it should take about 4 months. that would be JUNE... SWIMSUIT SEASON. That's pretty motivating!

I don't want to have to purchase a gym membership to reach these goals, it's costly and I don't really have the money for it. There are a few things I will need to buy though, I definitely need to purchase myself some new athletic shoes (my old ones are torn!) and I'll probably purchase some hand weights to use with the 30 Day Shred workouts. I'll try to keep the costs down, but buying healthy food to eat does get kinda of expensive!! I'm trying to eat lots of fruits and veggies. I've had salad 3 times this week. I'm going to try only buying the weight watchers endorsed frozen meals, when I need to have something to eat on my lunch break at work.

I am already paying more attention to when I am actually hungry, versus when I am just eating because I need something to do. I'm also paying more attention to the amount of food I eat, trying to make sure I am not eating past the point of my stomach telling me that it's full. Hopefully, all these little things I am doing, will all add up to some big weight loss. =) Wish me luck. I am also thinking about doing a weekly blog weigh-in type of post....... I'm not sure yet.
