Support Push For Pita

I don't know if you have ever visited the Run With Scissors blog ( I've had it bookmarked for a long time!!), the blog owner is currently raising money to cover adoption fees so that her and her significant other will be able to begin the process of adopting a baby!! They are hoping to have all the necessary money raised by the end of February and there are many, many ways that you can help. You can purchase an item from her etsy shop (lots of people have donated items just for this, and 100% of the profits from the sale of the items will go for this cause), you can sign-up and participate in an online journal class,  or you can just plain donate a few dollars to her through paypal. For details and more information, click to visit her blog!

Thanks for reading! =)

30 Day Shred

I finally did it, I just purchased Jillian Michael's "30 Day Shred" dvd on ebay for a mere $9, it should be here by the end of the week. I read a lot of the reviews of this dvd on Amazon and it while a mega ton of people absolutely love this workout dvd, almost all of the reviews say that I'm going to be experiencing pain and soreness for days after working out, OUCH. Hah.. they all say that it's do-able and it gets much easier if you stick with it though. I'll make sure to do my first workout at a time when I have the entire next day off work to recover!!

I'm looking forward to getting some exercise, I'm going to force myself to get through the workout (its only 20 minutes) and then do it again the next day.And repeat. If I do that, I can do anything!!

Zoya Polish - Giselle

I can't believe I haven't posted more photos of my Zoya polishes than this... how insane. Remember, I swore off buying any new nail polishes last October and I still have MANY, MANY more polishes that I have yet to post photos of on this blog. Oh Yeah, there's a good reason I swore off buying any more polishes. lol.

This is Zoya's polish #ZP356 called "Giselle", it would be absolutely perfect to use on a french manicure, it's almost clear with just a very slight color tint,  and it actually just makes your real nails look that much healthier. I usually try to stay away from just wearing a clear polish, or a very light colored polish, but I don't mind wearing this particular shade. By the way, I don't own a topcoat of Zoya, so I am wearing a coat of my Sally Hansen Insta-Dry polish in "clearly quick" (it really does dry super fast!!) on the top.

The Weight.

So my mother-in-law is organizing a "The Biggest Loser" type of competition between familiy and friends, I have no idea how many people are participating, if there are any type of rules (like weight in every Thursday?), if there's a prize at the end.. I don't know. All I know is that I need to lose some weight and I feel much more comfortable with trying to accomplish that if I know that I'm not the only one. The fact that it's some what of a competition helps with motivation too. =) It officially starts on Saturday, if you wanna play along just keep track of your starting weight (you could break out the measuring tape and measure certain areas of your body (hips, calves, biceps.. etc)  and try to get an idea on how many inches you are losing too!!) and try to eat healthy and exercise. Let me know if you're playing along!!

I've been wanting to do Jillian Michael's "30 Day Shred" for a long time, but I need to get the darn DVD first!! Do you have any exercise dvds that you'd recommend?? What works for you??

What about following a diet plan... Slim Fast... Special K..... Weight Watchers......... I have a couple Slim Fast shakes that I'm gonna be drinking in the next few days (cappucino flavor, i love cappucino flavor but those are hard to get down!) and I'll probably be buying some protein bars, etc. WHAT WORKS????

Sinful Colors #945 Soul Mate

I love Sinful Colors nail polish, for one thing it's cheap $1.99 regularly and sometimes you can find it at Walgreens on sale for $1 each!! With that being said.. I own quite a few colors of this polish! It says it is a "professional" polish, and it does last pretty well. I messed up tonight and put a Rimmel clear coat on top of it and they don't like each other too well, one of these days I need to get the Sinful Colors clear base/top coat polish... I've kind of sworn off buying any more nail polish though, I own a TON of it. OOPS.

"Soul Mate" is a light salmon color, it has some pink and some orange, it was super difficult to get an accurate photo of the color, but I guess it doesn't help that I'm taking pictures in my room with no sunlight. It's actually doesn't look much like the color in the photo at all, why do I bother??? lol I looked at Google Images too and it looks like I'm not the only one who has difficulty with photographing this color! HA! I'm not the only one!!

I don't know how to describe the color, these photos do it no justice what so ever. It's a more intense shade that what is shown, it's kind of a medium bold pink with a little orange thrown in, that's the best I can tell you. Yes, I know that's not very helpful... sorry.

Maplestory

If you are ever curious as to what I enjoy doing in my spare time... Maplestory is your answer. It's a free online game, a gigantic download (but they'll send you the files on dvd if you want), and it's played by millions of people. Sure, most of them are younger than me, but it's a fun game and I enjoy playing it.

There are many different characters that you can choose to play, my character is a Wild Hunter.. it's the only character that gets to ride around on a jaguar, and you can buy things in the cash shop, like my Black Kitty. My kitty follows me around everywhere, gets sad when it's hungry, and I bought extra items so that my kitty will pick up what the monsters drop when killed. It's a pretty cool game!

If you would like to play, head on over to the Maplestory website and get the game downloaded ( I warn you, the file is over 2 gigs!!!) and join me in the game. I play on the Galicia server and my character name is msjennb. Let me know if you're gonna play!!

Bloglines is Back

I posted months ago about how disappointed I was that bloglines.com was going to be shut down, I really enjoyed that site and I was into using feed readers at the time, so when I heard that they would be shutting down, I had switched over to Google Reader (not my favorite) and then I was busy with work and not really having time to be on the computer anyway so I stopped using that too. Well, while all this was happening Bloglines emailed me to say that the site wasn't being shut down after all, in fact they ended up revamping it!! So just yesterday I signed back up with them and started using the brand new website, it's got all sorts of widgets (weather, news, facebook, twitter) that you can use and all those feed reader capabilities that I loved so much, but better! With even more options!

If you're in search for a good feed reader I suggest you head over to Bloglines and give them a try, I think you'll enjoy that website as much as I do =) P.S. If you have some good blog recommendations from me to read, please link me to them in the comments <3

Hey!!!

Wow, it's been a month already since I last posted... OUCH. I am so sorry!! I am writing to let you know that my hours at work have slowed down, so I will back to blogging very shortly =) Also, I am so friggin' ready for a new blog layout, aren't you??? Maybe even something with a custom touch, I'd love to create a new layout 100% by myself, but I need to teach myself some web design skills first.

I would like to throw out a huge THANK YOU to all of you who have been visiting my blog over the past month or two, you come visit even when there is no new content.. YOU ARE AWESOME. =)

Look for some new blog happenings around here on Thursday or Friday =D Hope things are going well for everyone.
