Decisions.

It's bittersweet that the domain (jennforever.com) is about to expire in 10 days, right now I'm thinking that I'm not going to renew it. I think I'm probably done blogging at this location, but even if I don't renew the domain, I'll still leave the blog up at it's blogspot address.. frugalcupcake.blogspot.com so all is not lost, heck.. maybe I'll change my mind and still be blogging here, but the current domain will not be linked to the blog. Make sure to bookmark FRUGALCUPCAKE.BLOGSPOT.COM so you'll still be able to find the blog!

I do still enjoy blogging, I have a couple ideas of starting a private family blog, and perhaps even a cooking/baking blog. Please visit this blog as often as you deem necessary! <3

My New Website

Just dropping by to let you know that my new website is finally open for you to see! Please visit Daintysaurus.com, my website dedicated to creative souls, and take a look around!! I'm so happy that it's finally availabe for you guys to see and visit, but I still have plenty of work to do over there with posting and so much more behind the scenes work =)

In other news, we finally got our pool set-up today!!! YES!! It's actually only about 2/3rds of the way full right now, we'll finish filling it up tomorrow and then I foresee a lot of lounging around in the pool and plenty of cleaning bugs out of it (oh my, the bugs are sooo bad this year!!) but I'm really looking forward to having a pool!

I have another trip to Canada planned for later this month, gotta see my husband and our 3 year old son again! Long distance relationships suck! The trip is only a little over a week long, and since it's gonna be hot summer weather this time we are gonna do some fun stuff like go camping, go swimming in the great lakes, and take a road trip! It's gonna be great!

Day 3: I Am Looking Forward To...

I have been filling my minutes with trying to plan out new blogs to create.. I have decided to separate into special interests (niche)... one blog will be about girlie stuff: makeup, hair, nails,clothes, shopping.. that's the one I have been spending the most time recently planning out! Also planned is getting my own hosting again and switching back to wordpress... and buying like 6 domains. Ahhhhhhhhhh. Focusing on just one thing at a time, I want each of these separate blogs to be successful =) I will have to wait and see how and if I'll be able to keep up with so many domains and blogs! Wish me luck! It's still in planning stages and won't actually be happening for a while!

Changes Coming Soon!

I just bought a brand spankin' new domain name for this blog, in 3ish days when it's all set up, it will forward you automatically to the new address. (EDIT: it's been MINUTES since I posted this and it's already set up and forwarding just wonderfully!)  I will most likely be changing out the layout and things of the blog very soon, it just seems like the thing to do when you get a new web address!!! I think I will keep the name of the blog as "frugal cupcake" for probably a long time, only the domain aka web address will be changing. And the old blog address will just forward you to the domain so there's really nothing even worth writing about here, is there??

But I just spent many, many hours trying to come up with a domain name that I liked and that was available as a .com address. And then, my crappy satellite internet connection prevented me from purchasing it for almost another 2 days!! And then, today, I did a little research regarding the problem (that is what is so great about the internet, when you have a problem there are many people who have experienced the same problem before you, all you do is just search for the answers!!) and figured out that I needed to clear the cookies from my browser and then try purchasing the domain again. And TA DA!! It worked, just think of all that time I wasted that Google could have prevented me from wasting if I had just searched for the answer to my problem.

The point is... be excited for the future!! I'm excited about buying a domain name for this blog, so you should be excited too!!

Need a Good Domain Name!

I've decided that it's time to get a domain name for this blog! I have a couple ideas for one, but I won't be actually purchasing a domain until some time this weekend, so I have a little time to really think about it. I'm not sure if I want something with my name in it, or what. I have a lot to think about!! And then 99% of all .com domains are taken already so that narrows it down a lot too!!  I don't want something completely about being creative or artistic either, that would be too much pressure on me to be creative and post pictures and things of artsy stuff. This blog is still about everything, and that may be part of the problem. It's so random and it's just about anything and everything I feel like blogging about, but I'm not planning on starting a new blog from scratch either at this point in time. So I need a domain name generic enough to cover all the random things I manage to blog about and yet, somehow, still be personalized to my needs. You see why this is such a problem?! I have one particular domain name in mind that I'll most likely end up with, but I'm still going to be spending quite a bit of time over the next few days trying to see if I can come up with something else that I like more, and that's still available.

A Means to an End

I finally posted those "this blog is going to end very soon!" posts on my domains and ... added a link to this blog of course ;) I had decided that when the hosting was up (on January 9th, 2010) that I would not be renewing it, nor would I renew or purchase new domains when those expire either, although the domains don't expire for a few months. So that leaves me here, on my free blogger hosted blog! Which I've been doing pretty darn well at updating, if I do say so myself. I am quite happy & at peace with my decision, and for anyone reading this blog now... HI! Thanks for Visiting!!!!
