Happy June!

I consider myself lucky to have the day off today =) I thought I'd share a few things with you!

There's a high of around 90 degrees today and no chance of rain until this evening, do you know what this means?? I'm gonna put on my swim suit and my Banana Boat spf 15 tanning oil and grab a huge beach towel and hang out in the backyard for a little while working on my summer tan! Yeah! I've been using a gradual tanning lotion and did L'Oreal Sublime Bronze tanning towelettes a few times, but nothing tans quite like laying out in the sun for an hour or so, amazing difference!!




I recently discovered a few new favorite songs on grooveshark, here's a little playlist so you can have a listen too! Songs include: Nicki Minaj - "Super Bass" (so fun!) and Mike Posner - "Bow Chicka Wow Wow" which has definitely been a new favorite song of mine!

Also, I FINALLY got caught up on my BlogLovin' =) Took me forever after having the weekend off!! Also, BlogLovin' is totally taking up a lot of my internet time and distracting from other important things.. like finishing up that new self-hosted wordpress blog so I can finally launch it! Ahhh! Hoping to have that site going very soon!

Friday Favorites: New Music

One of my Christmas gifts this past year was a $50 iTunes giftcard, and I finally got around to using it last night! Here's what I bought (note: these are all full albums):

 Avril Lavigne - Goodbye Lullaby (Deluxe Edition)

 I have been listening to this album on grooveshark.com for a long time now, it's about time I bought it for myself =) I own all of Avril's albums. Deluxe version has 6 extra tracks, including "Alice" and "Bad Reputation" both of which I really like and are very good!

Country Strong soundtrack

I'm usually not a fan of country music, but I just had to get the soundtrack after I saw the movie! This is the "main" soundtrack with songs from Gwyneth Paltrow, Faith Hill, Trace Adkins, Hank Williams Jr and more..  there are 2 different Country Strong soundtracks on iTunes!!

New Found Glory - Not Without a Fight

Somehow is album managed to come out 2 years ago without me ever knowing about it, it's New Found Glory's most recent album and the 5th album by New Found Glory that I own. I have just about all of their albums, only missing one or two from the beginning days.

Burlesque soundtrack

Another soundtrack that I just HAD TO buy after seeing the movie! I absolutely loved this movie and I am planning on purchasing it to add to my own personal collection. The soundtrack is 90% songs by Christina Aguilera, another artist that I love and I own all of her albums. Highly recommend you watch the movie.

Justin Bieber - Never Say Never (The Remixes)

So I kinda sorta have a little bit of the Bieber Fever, his songs are catchy and make you feel happy. Plus, he's got a pretty good voice. I haven't seen the movie and this is the only album of Justin Bieber's that I have bought. I swear!

All in all, I think I did pretty well at getting my money's worth. I have 5 cents leftover from that gift card!! Have you bought any new music lately??

Day 4: Todays Playlist

Lately I've been listening to my ipod while I'm driving in the car, at home I listen to the radio a lot. Or I'll listen to songs on grooveshark.com (still loving my vip upgrade!!!) Here's the artists that I've been listening to...

On a side note... I heard both of the original Glee songs (from Regionals) on the radio yesterday.. I love Glee, but I still find it very strange to hear their songs on the radio!!

Music Love

Grooveshark is one of my favorite music sites, and I just signed up for a year subscription to Grooveshark Anywhere (normally $3/month or $30/year) and that allows me to listen all the Grooveshark music I want, advertisement free, and it lets me scrobble that music to Last.fm (which is the main reason I upgraded to the subscription!) and if I owned an Android phone I could also listen to Grooveshark on my phone. I love using Grooveshark because there are an unlimited number of songs and artists that I can choose from, any song I have looked for, I have found it on this website! And it's completely free (and legal!) to listen to all the songs!

Last.fm is also one of my favorite sites, it keeps track of what music you listen to (on computer, ipod, etc) and charts it for you.. top tracks.. top artists.. check out my last.fm profile. Now my last.fm scrobbles won't be limited to just the songs I own and have on the computer! YAY!

Wishlist: New Ipod Nano

I own the classic ipod (the biggest ipod there is! in size at least) and it's an 80gb... but I have never used more than 10gb of the storage space. I want something smaller that I can take with me anywhere and everywhere.. like the new ipod nano! It's small and has a built in clip so you can attach it anywhere and it's all touchscreen. It has a lot of cool features that my current ipod doesn't have.. like the genius playlist and fm radio tuner. And the touchscreen. The battery also goes for 24 hours before it needs a charge, it'd be perfect for a super long road trip! It's smaller in size and smaller in storage space, but I'm okay with the compromise =D I think I'd probably get it in the pink color, what color would you choose??

Music Discovery: A Fine Frenzy

One of my best friends gave me a copy of A Fine Frenzy's "One Cell in the Sea" cd, at first I really wasn't into it.. it just isn't the type of sound I usually listen to. But! The more I listened to it the more I grew to love it, and now I get the songs stuck in my head all the time :) So, I thought I'd share some A Fine Frenzy with you via YouTube links!! hey, 100 posts!

I just realized that my last post was #100! Hah, that's actually a pretty low number for the amount of time I've had this blog. Errm... 7-8 months? I don't know, some months I'm pretty faithful about posting and other months the thought doesn't even cross my mind. By the way, this is what getting old will do to you. :) I'm only 26! hah

Yes, that is a very limited list of favorite cds. I don't own all that many, and 90% of the ones I do actually own, don't make the cut. Other artists that would make the cut, but I have to be in a certain mood to listen to them include: nickelback, dashboard confessional, trapt... uhm and probably others that I can't think of at the moment. I guess I have my happy music, and my angry/frustrated music and I like to keep them separate. heh

Loving this Song!

So I'm not all that into country music, but I am really loving Lady Antebellum's song called "need you now"... actually heard it for the first time at work a few days ago! I'm embedding a youtube video of the song, but it's not the actual music video!! ((If you want to watch that, then go to youtube.com and find it ;))
