Learning Is Cool.

Just thought I'd stop in, once again, to say Hello! I'm Still Around! Life is busy with a three year old and it's difficult to find a little quiet time to do some blogging! The little guy is watching The Cat In The Hat cartoon on tv, one of his all-time favorite cartoons, so I get a little time to be on the computer. Phew.

Hubby has been helping me to learn how to play songs on the keyboard, he owns lots and lots of piano music books and has a super nice keyboard to learn on =) Again, it's super slow learning with our son running around (he doesn't like listening to the keyboard, and he'll come over and start hitting the keys! aah) we need to purchase some headphones for the keyboard so that I can practice playing without distracting everyone with the noise. We just bought a giant music book of Disney songs last night =) I think I'll learn a little quicker with songs that I actually know! I loves me some Disney music, don't you?

We went to see the brand spankin' new Glee 3D concert movie last night too, surprisingly it was in a smaller theater and not nearly sold out.. >_< maybe 30 other people were in there with us. The movie is pretty much what you'd expect to see from a Glee concert, but with a few personal stories thrown in from Glee fans. I'm really fine with just seeing it the one time in theaters, hubby wants to go see it again though! haha He loves his big screen musicals!

Day 21: Things to Do This Spring

Notice how I wrote "go on a picnik" ????????? i've definitely been using picnik.com too much for my image editing.. hahaha

I have been doing my best to be outside enjoying the days when it's super nice outside and I'm not working, I think it's the best to be out there just before sunset and really look forward to that time of day.

Right now I'm watching Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest on tv, it's actually the only POTC movie I own and here I am watching it on tv.. how sad. I am looking forward to the 4th movie of the series that should be coming out one of these days, in the summer maybe? I just know that it's coming! Anyone else excited about it??

Oh Hello!

If you follow my Twitter feed at all, you know that today I promised I would try as hard as I could to post about SOMETHING on this blog, It's been far too long! Right now I am watching Glee (I missed the first 30 minutes because I didn't realize it was on *OOPS!* but my DVR is recording it so I'll watch the first half afterwards!) and drinking some hot chocolate with marshmallows =) Yums.

I can't believe that it's almost Thanksgiving, can you?? I'm so looking forward to eating my turkey dinner in the next couple of days, I'm not looking forward to Black Friday, extended hours and general craziness for the next month or so at work, but that's just what I get for working in retail =P I love the happy feeling that comes with Christmas, the music, the decorations, the lights on the houses I'll see on my drive home from work (a lot of people around here already have their lights up and going!!) and spending quality time with my family and friends. I wish I didn't work in retail so that I could get a week or two off at Christmas to go visit my husband, my son and all those relatives up there. I'm not sure I'll get to see them for Christmas this year, that makes me very sad, and we'll see what we can do to change that. Here's hoping for the best!!

I'm still going to be busy for a while, working extra hours, trying to do my BeautiControl business when I have some spare time. I still adore my long hours of sleep, my quality time with friends. There are about a million movies coming out for Thanksgiving weekend and I pretty much want to see ALL of them, lol. One of my closest friends really, really wants to see Tangled (she may be 25, but she's a 6 year old at heart!) and it's one that I would like to see too.

I think I'll probably skip Post It Note Tuesday again this week, sorry for any of you that enjoy reading those posts!!

15 Movies I Want to Watch

I rarely ever go to see movies at the movie theater, so there is always a giant list of movies that I would love to see, this works out rather well when I rent a movie from RedBox as I am almost guaranteed that there will be a movie in there I want to see. These movies are no in particular order, and all were found at redbox.com

1. The Last Song, a movie based from a book by Nicholas Sparks. I don't know if you remember but Nicholas Sparks is one of my favorite authors!! I still haven't read this book either, that's on the to-do list.

 2. Without a Paddle: Nature's Calling. I didn't know there was a followup with the first Without a Paddle (which I own!!) so I definitely want to see this!!

3. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. This made the list just because Jake Gylenhaal looks super hot on the cover... yeah, that was pretty shallow of me to say. lol.

4. Babies. It looks cute, it sounds like it will be cute. I like babies.

5. Michael Jackson's This Is It. I like some of his songs, he's a legend. I feel like I am obligated to watch this.

6. Motherhood. I am a mother, this seems like a movie I would enjoy.

7. The Blind Side. This movie is epic from everything I have heard about it, can't believe I haven't seen it yet.

8. Avatar. Yes, another epic movie that I still haven't seen. I have friends who LOVE it and have seen it multiple times at the theater.

9. Leap Year. Amy Adams is becoming one of my favorite actresses, enough said.

10. Youth in Revolt. Because it stars Michael Cera, he is also becoming one of my favorite actors.

11. Chloe. Because Amanda Seyfriend is also becoming a favorite of mine.. do we see a pattern here?

12. Letters to God. Looks good, but also most likely to be a tear jerker.

13. When in Rome. Looks cute, and like a romantic comedy. I like those kind of movies.

14.  Where the Wild Things Are. Can't say I remember the children's book, but I'm sure it'll be a good movie.

15.  The Runaways. I like the choice of actresses to play the main roles, I don't know too much about The Runaways as a music group, so it'll be a movie to learn from.

And there you go, fifteen movies I have on my "to see" list. These are all older movies that are already out on dvd, there are new movies I wanna see too like  "The Social Network", "Burlesque", "Easy A", and  "You Again" just to name a few.
